Young Chef's Academy - September 2008

Haylee took some cooking classes with her friend, Ava. I shot one photo from outside the window on the sidewalk. I loev how you can walk around outside and see your kids cooking in their classes without disturbing them!

I used patterned papers and cardstock stickers from Karen Foster Design, self-adhesive rhinestones from Bead Connection, layered flowers from Prima and Bazzill, and title letters and mat cut from misc. cardstock with my Craft Robo.

Sweet Dreams - September 2008

I can't get over the one photo of Holden hanging backwards over the side of the swing asleep! What is it with my kids and falling asleep just any ol' way?!? I guess I must have a knack for wearing them out or something...

I used the "All Smiles" theme from the November 2008 Storytellers Club Ultimate Kit. The chipboard flower and arrow are from Pebbles Chips. I also used vellum paper for computer-printed journaling, trimmed to fit the die cut. The scalloped white circle is cut from white cardstock with my Craft Robo, and the title letter stickers from the kit were outlined with a Zig marker for more definition.

Peace - September 2008

I just love pics of babies sleeping! They have such an air of peace about them. Holden even looks like he's suckling in his sleep...how sweet! I miss those days...

I used patterned paper from Scrapbook Wizard, misc. solid blue cardstock, ric rac from American Crafts, flourishes cut with my Craft Robo using Quick Kutz files on patterned paper from K & Co., self-adhesive rhinestones from Bead Connection, title letters and scalloped circle cut with my Craft Robo, and a white Galaxy Marker by American Crafts. I based the layout on a sketch by PageMaps from Becky Fleck.

Pasta Dreams - September 2008

These are photos of Holden when he fell asleep in his high chair eating his spaghetti! Something about my boys and spaghetti...they always ate it until they dropped! LOL

I used yellow patterned paper from Miss Elizabeth's, sparkles burst brad and dimensional stacked stickers from Karen Foster Design, open-stock spaghetti-print paper, misc. orange cardstock, chalked title letters cut with my Craft Robo, and a Slick Writer marker from American Crafts.

...mmm, good! - September 2008

These are photos of Holden sitting on my lap eating my ice cream cone! He was totally mesmorized, as you can see!

I used patterned paper from Miss Elizabeth's, misc. yellow and green cardstock, vellum paper for computer-printed journaling, dimensional embellishments from K & Co. (I think), and the title letters and mat were cut with my Craft Robo.

Clown School - August 2008

These are photos from the kids' big annual birthday bash from 2008 when Hayden turned 9 and Haylee turned 4. We had a "clown school" theme and ate circus food! They played relays and games under the "big top" in our front yard. It was a lot of fun! I had a lot of photos from the event and lots of guests to include in our memories, so I used the thumbnail photos from the index print to include everyone on the layout.

The patterned papers and die cuts are from the Daisy Hill "Bugs & Flowers" Scrap Kit. I used self-adhesive rhinestones in 3 colors from Bead Connection, vellum paper for computer-printed journaling, self-adhesive foam title letters from Creative Hands, and pop dots.

Baby Love - August 2008

This photo was taken at the homeschool park day at City View Park in August 2008. I laid down a picnic blanket, and Holden and his little girlfriend Kayleigh rolled around on it and hugged and kissed on each other! They were the cutest! We've joked ever since that they are betrothed to one another. It truly was "baby love!"

I used the "Sunkissed" theme from the August 2010 Storytellers Club ultimate kit. The blue and yellow cardstock was cut from Bazzill textured cardstock in the kit. The teal rhinestones were included in the July 2010 kit. The decorative trims were cut with a Fiskars Shape Cutter template and a Fiskars border punch. The flowers were included in the kit. The glittered, scalloped chipboard circle at the bottom is a Pebbles Chip from the white collection. The title letters are Thickers by American Crafts that came in brown craft paper color, and I colored them orange with a Slick Writer marker by American Crafts. I used a PageMaps sketch by Becky Fleck. I think this is my favorite layout that I've ever done! The paper was gorgeous to begin with, but the sketch from PageMaps really brought it all together and gave it balance.

Flag Football Awards - August 2008

These photos were taken at the Flag Football Awards in August 2008 at Woodstock Park.

I used the "Whimsey" theme from the February 2010 StoryTellers Club Ultimate kit. The title and football themed dimensional stickers are from Jolee's Boutique. I wrote the date with a Slick Writer marker from American Crafts.

Four - July 2008

On Haylee's 4th birthday, we met some friends up at Jumpin' Monkey for some inflatable jumping fun! Haylee had a great time with her friends, and she really enjoyed the dress-up room there, too.
I used patterned papers by Scrapbook Wizard and printed computer journaling on vellum. The chipboard accents are all Pebbles Chips in green. The butterfly brads are by Making Memories, and the number 4 is a Thickers by American Crafts, which I colored with a Slick Writer marker by American Crafts. I based the layout on a sketch from the Pages By Design idea book.

Snooze - July 2008

Haylee has always had the uncanny ability to fall asleep just about anywhere. This was no different! I found her sprawled across the tops of two bar stool asleep with her limbs dangling down. I swear, I don't know how she didn't fall! This was definitely a scrapbook-worthy moment!
I used patterned papers mostly by Scrapbook Wizard. I cut the flower paper strip from a larger sheet that had a variety of patterns on it. I added self-adhesive green rhinestones by Bead Connection to each printed flower and the journaling block, and clear ones to the stacked paper flowers, which are by Prima and Imaginesce Perfectly Posh collection. I printed the computer journaling on vellum, and the fabric covered chipboard title letters are Thickers by American Crafts.

Joy - July 2008

My boys have always enjoyed being together. I trimmed their faces from a bunch of photos of them laughing on the sofa together.

I used the "All Smiles" theme from the November 2008 Storytellers Club ultimate kit. I added pop dots to the die cuts and Mirrored Sparkle Burst brads by Karen Foster Design. I used a Slick Writer marker by American Crafts to color the title letters of "joy," which are Thickers by American Crafts. I added a piece of ric rac by American Crafts.
