Hunt Club - October 2007

The kids went on the Fall field trip to Hunt Club Farm and go to enjoy the animals in the petting zoo, go on a hayride, and select a pumpkin from the pumpkin patch.
I used the "Serendipity" theme from the Storytellers Club January 2008 Ultimate Kit. I added some self-adhesive rhinestones and journaled with a Slick Writer Marker by American Crafts. I used the alpha stickers from the February 2008 Ultimate Kit, which I outlined with a brown Slick Writer Marker to make them pop. I used a vellum quote from Colorbok which I mounted on cardstock, and I added a paper flower from Bazzill with a pink brad center.

Scary Fun - October 2007

This was the Halloween that occurred the same month that Hayden decided to lop off Haylee's bangs with a pair of scissors! Poor girl. She had such beautiful hair up until then! When I finally took her to get it cut to match up the shorter parts on one side, the curls never came back after that. I was so sad. But it didn't damper her fun at Halloween! She was an adorable little bumblebee, and Hayden was Batman. He loved the "pumped up" suit that made him look all muscular, LOL.
I used the "Halloween" theme from the Storytellers Club October 2010 Ultimate kit. I raised up all of the circle die cuts with pop dots and used a Slick Writer Marker by American Crafts.

Peaceful Dreamer - October 2008

This is just a random photo of Holden sleeping in the middle of the living room floor, but somehow, I can never get enough of looking at sleeping baby pictures! They just look so peaceful. I love to remember him like this. :)
I used the "Small Beginnings" theme from the Storytellers Club May 2011 Ultimate kit. I raised up the animal die cuts and the title block with some pop dots and used a Slick Writer marker by American Crafts.

Good Times - December 2009

The kids just love horsing around and taking pictures of themselves and each other while they're doing it! The result is an onslaught of silly-faced photos that are up close and personal and kinda crazy! LOL. I love to scrapbook the pictures they take because they always depict the kids having such fun!
I used the "Good Times" theme from the January 2011 Storytellers Club ultimate kit, along with a metallic Slick Writer marker for journaling. I also downloaded the photo strip template from the Storytellers digi site, Digital Express. I plugged the photos into it in Adobe Photoshop Elements 9, printed them, cut them out, and added them to my paper page. So this is officially my first attempt at hybrid scrapbooking. I liked it! I've decided I don't mind a digital element here and there, so long as I still get to use my papers, LOL.

Cool Relief - December 2008

When Holden had roseola, he had a terribly high fever. In the days that followed, he got to eat lots of popsicles for some "cool relief!"

I used the "Deco Garden" theme from the April 2008 Storytellers Ultimate kit for this layout. I used Bazzill Bitty Blossoms, self-adhesive rhinestones, computer-printed journaling on vellum, and I cut the layered title letters with my Black Cat Lynx.

Sick - December 2008

Poor Holden got sick with roseola in early December 2008. He spent a good portion of the night in the ER with a fever of 105.6. The next day, he broke out in the red rash. These are photos of him looking pitiful in his hospital gown.

Background patterned paper and stickers are from Karen Foster Design. Other patterned paper is from Paper Wizard. Notebook paper is torn from a small notebook. Journaling is handwritten with a Slick Writer marker from American Crafts. Title is Thickers Chipboard letters from American Crafts. I used miscellaneous yellow ribbon. I used a Page Maps sketch for the layout design.

Science Experiment - December 2008

This was a Kids' Discovery Cruise field trip on the Spirit of Norfolk in conjunction with Nauticus. Steve got to come along for this one, and he sat at a table with a bunch of kids to assist them with their water chemistry experiments. Candace from church got to come, too.

The patterned paper and stickers are all from Karen Foster Design. I used misc. cardstock for the photo mats and added computer-printed journaling on vellum. I used a template for the collage layout design from Paperbilities.

School Days - June 2008

These were photos I took to use on the kids' Homeschool I.D. cards. Of course, I had to take some silly photos of Holden, too!

The patterned paper is from Karen Foster Design. The photo mats are from misc. cardstock. The dimensional stickers are from "School Days" by Marcella by Kay. The shaker stickers and "push pins" are all from another sticker pack, but the brand name escapes me at the moment. I added computer printed journaling on vellum.

My Two Pilgrims - November 2008

Hayden and Haylee are showing off their Thanksgiving crafts they made for school from their Abeka Art Projects books.

The die cut patterned papers and die cut embellishments are all from a Fall stack from DCWV. I used miscellaneous solid cardstock and a Slick Writer pen from American Crafts for the journaling.

Soccer - November 2008

These are pics of 4 year old Haylee playing Soccer Tots with the homeschool sports league. She was so tiny! Her team shirt almost fit like a dress! Too cute.

All the patterned paper and embellishments are from Karen Foster Design, with the exception of the ribbons, which came from a themed pack.

Look Who's Standing - November 2008

Holden was so distracted by his yummy cheese quesadilla that he didn't even realize he was standing up in the middle of the room without holding on to anything!

The patterned paper is from the Christmas Stack 2010 by Die Cuts With A View. The black textured cardstock is by Bazzill. I used Opaline Designer Pearls from Basic Grey. I added computer journaling strips and cut the title letters with my Black Cat Lynx.

Halloween - October 2008

Holden went as a contented jack-o-lantern, Haylee was Elmo, and Hayden was a Nascar driver. Their friend, Xevier, stopped by before the trick-or-treating to sport his Indiana Jones costume.

I used the "Halloween" theme from the June 2010 Storytellers Club Ultimate kit.

Fall Fun at Brookdale Farm - September 2008

These photos were taken on a homeschooling field trip with friends to Brookdale Farm. They got to learn about cows, and Hayden was called up to demonstrate. They also did a hayride and picked pumpkins from a real pumpkin field. They had a blast!
I used patterned paper from Karen Foster Design and cut the title letters using my Black Cat Lynx.

What Is He Doing? - September 2008

Holden was playing in his playpen one day while I was vaccuuming and picking up in the same room. When I turned off the vaccuum and looked to see what he was doing, at first, I thought he was playing. But then I realized he was doubled over at the waist, holding his toes, but FAST ASLEEP! I swear, that boy can sleep just any ol' way!

I used the Loads of Fun theme from the June 2010 Storytellers Club Ultimate kit and cut my title letters with my Black Cat Lynx.
